ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra 2025 post-release

From 15 to 17 April 2025, the 27th International Exhibition ExpoElectronica and the debut edition of ExpoCifra — a new specialised event dedicated to information technologies and digital transformation solutions — were successfully held at Crocus Expo IEC, Moscow
ExpoElectronica remains a vital component in the electronics industry value chain across Russia and neighbouring countries. This year’s edition recorded a landmark participation, featuring a record number of exhibitors from Russia and international partner nations. The growth of the sector was clearly evident, driven by a combination of entrepreneurial energy and increasing government support focused on advancing technological self-reliance.
The exhibitions welcomed 29,330 industry professionals representing 12,755 manufacturing enterprises, alongside 825 exhibiting companies. Among these were 424 exhibitors from Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, and 401 international companies, including strong participation from China (featuring a collective stand from Zhejiang Province), India, and the UAE. The total exhibition area exceeded 35,000 square metres.
At ExpoElectronica, thousands of product brands were presented across four core sectors, covering the entire electronic production cycle — from component manufacturing to system design and assembly.
ExpoCifra focused on digital transformation, showcasing solutions in:
• Big data, analytics, and cloud solutions
• IT infrastructure and software
• Equipment and services for transport, navigation, and telecom
• Digitalisation of business, urban services, and manufacturing
The synergy between electronics and IT underlined the growing interdependence between sectors and the potential for integrated technological development.
Official Participation and Support
The exhibitions were honoured by visits from representatives of the embassies of China and Armenia.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, V.V. Shpak, took part in the event, signing several strategic agreements focused on the development of the electronics sector.
"ExpoElectronica is an effective platform for establishing dialogue between government bodies and the business community. It plays a key role in forging strategic partnerships and supporting sustainable industry growth aligned with global trends. Business activity at this year's exhibition was notably high, with Russian enterprises showing a clear drive to boost their presence. This confirms we are moving in the right direction," noted Deputy Minister Shpak.
Electronica Award 2025
The prestigious Electronica Award was held across six categories. Nominees presented their innovations through both online project defence and live public voting via the official website.
All shortlisted entries were displayed in dedicated showcases during the exhibition, giving visitors the opportunity to evaluate designs firsthand. The 2026 edition of the awards will once again welcome new applicants as well as returning participants.
Business Programme Highlights
Over the three days, 30 expert-led sessions were held featuring 142 speakers, including government representatives, business leaders, and technical experts. Discussions addressed key issues in electronics and their intersections with IT.
Notable sessions included:
