Results of the visit to GITEX Global 2024 in Dubai

The ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra exhibition teams participated in GITEX Global 2024, the 44th international information technology exhibition in the Persian Gulf region

GITEX Global 2024

Productive meetings were held with Russian businesses at the City of Moscow, the Russian Export Centre, and the Moscow Export Stand, as well as with representatives from collective pavilions of friendly countries and other international exhibitors. The visit aimed to promote ExpoCifra—a new international exhibition in Russia—across the Middle East and Southeast Asia markets.

ExpoCifra 2025, an exhibition focused on information technologies and digital transformation solutions, serves as a platform for professionals engaged in IT and digitalization efforts in business and production. The technologies showcased will range from cloud computing to artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, reflecting the dynamic nature of the modern tech market. The organizers’ goal is to position ExpoCifra as a premier business platform in Russia, comparable to GITEX in Dubai. A major focus of the exhibition will be advanced solutions designed to streamline business processes and improve production efficiency.

According to exhibition director Rimma Mangusheva, 80% of the companies that engaged in discussions at GITEX expressed interest in the Russian market, particularly in the new opportunity to establish a presence:

"Potential international partners showed a keen interest in learning about Russia’s market, available opportunities, government support programs, and the readiness of Russian companies to collaborate with foreign businesses. Participation in major international events like GITEX is crucial for promoting ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra and enhancing the international reputation of Russia’s high-tech sector. This year, we held around 200 meetings at various levels, and I am confident this will significantly contribute to the growth of Russia’s technology industry."

Mangusheva emphasized that Russia's strong presence at GITEX highlights the promising potential for cooperation between Russia and countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, particularly in high technology and digitalization. ExpoCifra aims to become the go-to platform where Russian companies and their international counterparts can forge meaningful business partnerships.

During GITEX, the Moscow City Government delegation, led by Sergey Cheremin, Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations (DEER), also met with potential partners and investors interested in joint IT projects. Cheremin emphasized that collaboration with the UAE presents new opportunities for Moscow-based IT firms and facilitates knowledge exchange. Focusing on smart technologies and urban infrastructure will further strengthen bilateral ties.

Moscow’s innovation efforts were prominently showcased, including key projects such as the Telemedicine platform, Moscow Electronic School, Moscow Parking, the city's Digital Twin, HR management systems, the City of Ideas platform, the government bidding system, and taxi analytics, among others.

We look forward to seeing you at ExpoCifra, held alongside ExpoElectronica, from April 15-17, 2025, at Crocus Expo, Moscow.
